Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic and Minister of Economy Richard Sulik about bilateral relations, emphasising that political cooperation is excellent and economic is better, especially when it comes to the joint commission for economic cooperation between the two countries.

Brnabic said that Serbia can learn from Slovakia when it comes to the development of the economy, and that she hopes that the volume of trade, which was affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, will increase next year.

The Prime Minister also thanked for the support that this friendly country provides to Serbia on its path to full membership in the European Union and the unequivocal position that enlargement is necessary.

In that context, Brnabic added that two clusters are fully ready to open in December.

Thank you for the support of Slovakia, which is always open and completely sincere, as are the countries of the Visegrad Group, said the Prime Minister of Serbia and reiterated that Serbia appreciates the fact that Bratislava is a great advocate of enlargement of the Union.

Brnabic emphasised that Serbia greatly appreciates the fact that Slovakia persists in its principled position not to recognise the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

Sulik confirmed that his country will support Serbia's European path and that, given their experience from two decades ago, when they were in the phase in which our country is today, they are available for advice.

In that context,Sulik offered the help of the line ministers of the Slovak government. He assessed that, in addition to talks on the economy, trade and trade, it is necessary to open other topics and especially underlined innovations, which the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia accepted and offered to work on in that and other areas.
